Bandit
Yo!
My name is Bandit and I’m doing my second stretch in the shelter. My first offense was getting busted for wandering the streets of Healdsburg. The second time, my owner turned me in. Sure, it’s a crime I’m in here but I’m not serving time for any crime I committed. This is an appeal to you Dudes and Dudettes of Healdsburg from the inside.
My best bro, Jerry, just got adopted, which is way cool but it’s a bit lonely without him. We used to play until our tongues dragged on the ground. But I’m not writing this to get sprung by someone adopting me, although that would be sweet. I am simply asking you to take me and some of my buds for a walk. Today, again, there weren’t enough dog walkers. The staff is great and get us out to the exercise yard every day but we really enjoy splitting this joint and lifting a leg on the outside.
Word on the street is if there are enough dog walkers (and every dog gets at least one walk a day) then some walkers can deal with other doggie issues- things like better manners and behavior issues. (You didn’t get this from me but my pal, Conrad, a couple kennels down, could use a little attention). If walking dogs isn’t your thing, then playing in the exercise yard, training, grooming and massaging- all can help us do our time. Just come and chill with us. We on the inside appreciate anything you give.
So if you have a bit of time during visiting hours, come walk or just hang with us. The staff or experienced dog walkers can show you the ropes to make it safe and fun. You will feel good about making life better for some pretty cool but down on their luck puppies. I’m not the type of guy who gets by on good looks alone. I’m asking you to help me and the other dogs get time off for good behavior.
Could Be Yours,
Bandit
